Megan Reid, DPT, Joins The Recovery Project’s Livonia Clinic

The Recovery Project is excited to announce that Megan Reid has joined our Livonia clinic as a physical therapist. In her role, Reid will design and implement customized physical therapy programs that utilize the latest research-proven best practices and state of the art equipment for The Recovery Project’s clients, including those with spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries.

“Megan thoroughly impressed us during her 12-week clinical rotation at The Recovery Project—her enthusiasm, her passion for learning and implementing new techniques, and her compassion with our clients stood out immediately,” said Co-CEO Polly Swingle. “We are thrilled to have her on board, and know her research and clinical experience will greatly strengthen the care and service we provide.”

Reid earned her doctorate of physical therapy from Oakland University, and her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Michigan State University. While completing her doctorate, Reid worked as a graduate assistant for three years and conducted research on normative values of lumbar spine range of motion in adolescents. She also earned the Susan E. Saliga Neuromuscular Excellence award, the Beth C. Marcoux Research Excellence award, and the Neil King Physical Therapy Scholarship during her time at Oakland.
