The Recovery Project Named Partner In MS Care by National MS Society
December 13, 2016
The Recovery Project, a leading provider of high-intensity physical and occupational therapies that improve the lives and functionality of patients with spinal cord and other neurological injuries, has been officially recognized as a Partner in MS Care in the area of Rehabilitation through the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Partners in MS Care program. The Recovery Project Co-CEO Polly Swingle, PT, GCS, CEEAA, made the announcement.
“The Society’s Partners in MS Care program acknowledges committed providers whose practices improve care for people with MS,” said National MS Society President & CEO Cyndi Zagieboylo. “High quality care is vital for everyone living with MS—regardless of geography, disease progression and other disparities—to live their best lives.”
With this recognition, The Recovery Project becomes the only MS Care Partner in the area of Rehabilitation in the State of Michigan—an honor that was awarded based on The Recovery Project’s commitment to providing high quality, evidence-based occupational and physical therapies to patients with MS. This is illustrated by the recent opening of The Recovery Project’s FES Specialty Center at its Livonia clinic, which offers patients with MS and other central nervous system disorders access to highly specialized, technologically advanced equipment that aides in motor recovery. The Recovery Project is one of the only clinics in Michigan to have a dedicated FES Specialty Center.
“From day one, our mission has been to provide patients with the best level of care possible by leveraging the latest evidence-based research to create high intensity physical therapy programs that help patients vastly improve their functionality and quality of life,” said Swingle. “We’re thrilled to be named an MS Society Partner and look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of physical and occupational therapy care for patients with MS and other spinal cord and neurological injuries.”
The Recovery Project has two convenient locations in Livonia and Clinton Township to best serve patients across metro Detroit. For more information, visit www.therecoveryproject.net.
