The month of March is both Multiple Sclerosis and Brain Injury Awareness Month. We are proud to support many individuals living with both of these conditions at The Recovery Project. We have an exceptional team of therapists and trainers with advanced knowledge and expertise in managing both MS and brain injuries, in addition to state-of-the-art equipment and tools to help our clients reach their goals. We have established a variety of group wellness classes aimed to meet the needs of our friends with these neurological conditions, so they can continue to exercise and maintain their health and wellness when they are not in one on one therapy.
Earlier in the month, we celebrated MS Awareness Week. Make sure to go back and check out our posts on Facebook and Instagram to learn about the stories of those living with multiple sclerosis, how we invited our friends with MS to join us for a free week of wellness classes, and decorated our lobbies in orange colored snacks and flyers to spread awareness about this disease.
With this recognition, The Recovery Project continues to be an MS Care Partner in the area of Rehabilitation in the State of Michigan—an honor that was awarded based on The Recovery Project’s commitment to providing high quality, evidence-based physical, occupational, and speech therapies to patients with MS. This is illustrated by The Recovery Project’s FES Specialty Center, which offers patients with MS and other central nervous system disorders access to highly specialized, technologically advanced equipment that aides in motor recovery. The Recovery Project is one of the only clinics in Michigan to have a dedicated FES Specialty Center.
