August 2025

This summer has been a busy one at The Recovery Project!

We attended multiple community and diagnosis specific events such as speaking at the Healthier Black Elders Center, presenting virtually to the Gilda's Club, attending a team members concert to support his band, and much more. We have also served hundreds of clients, welcomed new staff, mentored students on clinical rotations, increased our education through courses and in-services, and officially launched our Chronic Pain Management Program of Michigan!

We are eager to continue to help people with chronic pain who are interested in this innovative, collaborative program. Applications are continuously being accepted so be sure to visit our website to learn more and submit your application today!

Rachel is joining us after earning her degree from Central Michigan University, her path to neuro rehab starting with her own family!

Seeing the experiences of her loved ones who have been affected by a CVA, Parkinson’s & Alzheimer’s sparked her curiosity & appreciation for the profession.

Her family’s journey continues to fuel her passion for providing compassionate & effective care.

Rachel might be a familiar face to some as a rehab tech at our Lansing clinic before stepping into her new role as a PT. She’s most excited to keep learning & to be part of the meaningful work TRP is known for.

We’re so excited to welcome Lilly to The Recovery Project team! Lilly graduated from Macomb Community College & was drawn to neuro rehab for the endless possibilities it offers.

She loves that every patient’s journey is unique & considers it an honor to be part of their recovery.

Lilly might be a familiar face to some from her time spent here as a student during her clinicals. Now, we are thrilled to welcome her back as a therapist! She feels inspired by the hard work & dedication from both staff and patients, plus loves the uplifting, positive energy that fills our clinic.
Join us in giving a warm TRP welcome to another new team member, Taniya Stewart, PTA.

Taniya is a proud graduate of Henry Ford College and brings a strong passion for neuro rehab to our clinic. You might recognize her from her time in Livonia as a student!

She was drawn to this field because of the unique complexity every patient presents, even with the same diagnosis, making every case an opportunity to learn, grow and tailor care in meaningful ways.

Before joining us, Taniya worked as a rehab tech in inpatient neuro rehab and later launched her PTA career in an orthopedic-based outpatient setting. She’s now excited to return to neuro rehab, reconnect with familiar faces, and build new relationships—all while delivering evidence-based interventions focused on improving functional mobility and quality of life.

Jamie recently graduated from Henry Ford College this May and joins us as a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant.

Her passion for neurorehabilitation grew during her full-time rotation here at TRP, where she was inspired by the resilience and determination of every client she worked with.

With 8 years of experience as a technician in outpatient orthopedics, Jamie brings both skill and heart to our clinic.

She’s excited to grow as a PTA and contribute to our mission of delivering evidence-based, functional, and creative care that truly improves quality of life.
