Be Well Fitness is an exercise program designed for individuals living with multiple sclerosis. Research states that moderate intensity exercises are not only safe for individuals with MS, but can slow down the progression of the disease. This one hour class will teach you how to calculate your target heart-rate range, determine your perceived rate of exertion, and ensure that you are performing moderate intensity exercises. You will be instructed on a variety of strength, balance, flexibility, and breathing exercises to optimize your fitness and overall wellbeing. You will be guided through these exercises in either a seated or standing position. The class is open to individuals of all diagnoses looking for a comprehensive, full body workout and may be modified based on your specific needs.
