The Recovery Project, a leading provider of progressive, effective neuro rehab therapies that improve the lives and functionality of patients with spinal cord and other neurological injuries, has been selected as one of the “Cool Places to Work” in Michigan for 2017 by Crain’s Detroit Business. The Recovery Project Co-founder and Co-CEO, Charlie Parkhill made the announcement.
Companies awarded the “Cool Places to Work” honor are selected based on a number of factors. Both employers and employees are required to complete surveys that analyze several factors of employment ranging from health benefits and competitive pay to workplace culture, flexibility and employee empowerment. The results of the 72-question surveys are combined and weighed to determine the winners.
“At The Recovery Project, we believe the first step in providing the best possible patient care is by taking care of our employees and providing an environment where they truly feel inspired to make a difference,” said Parkhill. “Our staff is the best at what they do and they are a big part of what makes The Recovery Project great.”
In addition to the “Cool Places to Work” honor, The Recovery Project recently announced plans to open a new clinic in Lansing this fall. The company is also currently undertaking an expansion at its Livonia headquarters that will add 3,000 square feet to the existing 8,000-square-foot space and feature dedicated areas for speech and occupational therapy, as well as wellness programs like adaptive yoga, PRW! gym and cardio, and Rock Steady Boxing—which is expected to launch this fall.
